Our firm
Behind our journey
The firm began in 2014 as JW Tech Studio, run by John Woon alongside a senior engineering post at a German corporation. In 2020 he left to commit to it fully, rebuilding the studio as Tanuki Works and opening the office at Arcoris Mont Kiara.
The name comes from the tanuki of Japanese folklore, known for transformation and adaptability — the qualities the team brings to each client’s digital presence.
